CNP Bogota 2026 First Place

CNP Bogota 2026 - 3peat

We flew into Bogota on Thursday and landed around noon. I grabbed my bag, got in an Uber, and headed straight to the hotel while starving out of my mind. The drive took around an hour because Bogota traffic is genuinely terrible, so by the time I got there I was just hoping I could check in early. Somehow we got lucky and the room was already ready for us.

We were staying in Zona T, the pink district of the city, which honestly made the whole weekend even more fun. I dropped my bags and met up with Dakota right away, and we went straight to this amazing Italian restaurant. We ordered a full pepperoni pizza as a starter and then I got ravioli after that, because apparently we believed carb loading had no limits.

We ate as fast as possible because Dakota had an appointment to get his hair done. And listen, if you think waiting for your girl at the salon takes forever, you’ve experienced nothing compared to sitting there for two hours while your homie gets his hair fixed. I can’t even lie though, he came out looking fresh, so I guess it was worth it.

After that we walked around Zona T, grabbed boba tea and coffee, and waited for the rest of the team to arrive. Kameron was making his comeback after Cup, Carter joined us as our Open pro player for the event, and later Grant and Antonio arrived too. The second they got there, we somehow went out for more food. Dakota and I even went back to the same Italian restaurant from earlier just to try their pasta inside a pizza. Best meal ever. Unreal carb load before the event.

Coffee Lessons and a Rough Practice

Friday morning started pretty peacefully. We got breakfast, and while getting ready I heard Dakota grinding Duolingo, which somehow became our daily challenge for the rest of the trip. From that day on, we had to complete our lessons every single morning.

After breakfast we wanted coffee, but instead of grabbing a normal cup, we found a place that did a full coffee tasting experience. They walked us through different beans and brewing methods, and we ended up trying four different types of coffee while learning way more than I expected. Honestly, it was the perfect energy boost before heading to the field.

Before practice, Team Colombia delivered the jerseys for the U19 and U16 national teams, which was really cool to see. If you want to support them or check them out, you can do so HERE

We finally got on the field around 5 p.m., and because we started so late there was barely any light left. I’m not even sure what was happening mentally that day, but I genuinely felt like I had gone back to my first year of paintball. Everything felt off. It definitely wasn’t my best practice.

And to make things even better, while I was already eliminated and literally just standing there watching, a guy looked directly at me, turned his gun, and shot me five times. Incredible start to the weekend.

After practice we got into the sketchiest Uber ever. The car sounded like it was falling apart, it kept scraping the ground, and the driver barely avoided multiple accidents. Somehow we survived and made it to our next hotel, which honestly looked more like a tiny apartment building than an actual hotel. The rooms were so small you had to play Tetris just to move around them, but they were surprisingly comfortable. The only problem was the giant town party happening outside that lasted basically all night, so sleep wasn’t exactly easy.

Saturday – Strong Start

Saturday was when the real event finally started. Our first match was against Nameless, and we came out flying. We won 5–1 on a mercy rule, although somehow I still managed to get overshot a couple of times during the match.

Right after that we played Wayout ST from Chile, who are a really solid team. Before our game started, we heard they had dead man walked another team earlier in the event. If you know me, you already know how many times teams have tried that against us before, so immediately we locked in even harder and made sure there was zero room for chaos.

We controlled the game from the beginning and won 4–0 cleanly. Some of their players complained a bit afterward, but at the end of the day it was a solid win. After those matches, I started realizing my role for the weekend was going to be really similar to Cali: slow, controlled, and holding down an entire side of the field alone while the rest of the guys worked around the pressure.

Saturday night I ended up going to someone else’s house just to try and get some actual sleep after the chaos outside our hotel the night before. Honestly, completely worth it. After finally getting a good night of sleep, I felt way more reset and ready for the hardest day of the tournament.

Sunday – The Hardest Matches

Sunday was a completely different challenge because our last two prelim matches were against some of the strongest teams at the event.

First up was Yakuza, and that game was a battle. Long points, slow play, constant adjustments. We managed to edge them out 2–1, but it definitely took a lot more patience than our Saturday games.

Then came Templarios. If you’ve read the other blogs, you already know the history there. Same team we played in the Cali finals, except this time they came out swinging immediately. We got down 0–2 fast. On the very first point I didn’t even make it out of the box, and during the second point my marker started having insane velocity fluctuations and was shooting 220.

I fixed the setup, reset mentally, and after that we played like the event was already in finals mode. Momentum completely shifted and we stormed back to win the game 5–3.

Semifinals and Revenge in Finals

Because Bogotá had more teams than Cali, there was no direct bye into finals. That meant we had to play semifinals first, and somehow we ended up facing Yakuza again.

This time the game felt completely different. We controlled the pace from the start, cleaned up the mistakes from prelims, and secured a 4–1 win to move into finals.

Waiting for us there was Olympus, who most people will recognize as Full Costa,  the same core we lost to in the Cali 2025 finals. So yeah, this one felt personal.

But our unit looked incredible all weekend, and Carter was playing absolutely lights out. From the beginning of the finals we controlled the tempo, controlled the lanes, and never really gave them space to settle in.

Another mercy rule. 5–1 final score.

With that win, Medellín secured its third straight CNP title:
Panama 2025
Cali 2026
Bogota 2026

Every event this roster keeps getting stronger, and honestly, it’s crazy seeing how much chemistry and confidence we’ve built together over time.Next stop is our home event in Medellín, and trust me, we’re showing up even stronger for that one.
