CNP Medellin 2026 - Home Win
CNP Medellin 2026 was finally at our local field, so some of us were able to get there on the 17th to practice and get comfortable with the layout. For this event, we had Carter back with us, Blake Yarber from Dynasty, who had also played with us in Medellin last year, and LP, my teammate from Shock. We would be playing the layout from the NXL British Invitational, which meant we were expecting a really fast-paced weekend.
Saturday - A Lesson the Hard Way
Our first match of the event was against Caribbean Allstarz, a great team that gave us a really tough game. We were doing well, but they managed to fight their way back and tie the match. With the game getting close to the end, we decided to play a really fast point. I made it past the 50 in just a few seconds and managed to hit the buzzer with only three seconds left on the clock.
There was just one problem: I had old paint in my hopper.
Even though the refs didn't initially want to call it, they had to, and the point became a swing point. That meant we lost the game 3-4. It was frustrating because it was a great play that went completely wrong because I didn't check myself before the point. That's a mistake I'm definitely not making again.
Our second match was against NQ Sports, a team with several players from TPP in SemiPro, along with Ceelos from X-Factor. We came out much stronger and controlled the game, finishing with a 4-1 win.
Sunday – Fighting Our Way Back
The next day started with Yakuza, a team you might remember from the finals of our last event. This match started in the worst possible way for us. Blake and LP weren't there at the beginning of the game, and it looked like we were about to get mercy-ruled.
Somehow, though, we managed to fight our way all the way back into the game.
We tied it up at 5-5, but then we got hit with a major penalty with less than a minute left. We didn't have enough bodies to pull, so with less than 30 seconds remaining, it was Blake, Carter, LP and me trying to hold the game together. We managed to tie it up and finish the match 6-6.
Our last preliminary match was against Templarios, who had Tom as always, but this time they also had Ninios. Two great professional players, and even though the final score doesn't really show it, this was a much harder match than it looked. We managed to finish it 4-0.
That put us into the semifinals.
The Semifinals – Rematch Against Caribbean
And just like that, we had our rematch against Caribbean Allstarz.
This time, we came out strong and never let off the gas. We carried the momentum from our last match straight into the semifinal and controlled the game from the beginning, finishing with another 4-0 win.
One more match. We were so close to another championship.
The Finals – Medellin vs. Smoke Patrol
The finals were against Smoke Patrol, and this team was STACKED. They had the Gallego brothers, Sebas from New York Xtreme, and Joe Barret from Dynasty, along with a ton of talent and aggression.
It was a back-and-forth battle from the beginning. The game was intense, with both teams attacking hard and some very aggressive points. We eventually found ourselves up 4-3 with a little over a minute left on the clock.
Smoke Patrol wasn't going to give us the win easily.
They attacked with everything they had, and by the end, it was Dakota and me against four players. They were coming from every direction. I was trying to stay alive in the worst can on the entire field, getting bounced left and right, while Dakota basically turned on his Ultra Instinct and started shooting everyone.
Somehow, the two of us stayed alive. And then the buzzer sounded.
WE DID IT.
4PEAT BABYYYY!
Another first place in the CNP. That makes it three wins out of three events this season, and our fourth straight CNP championship overall.
With only one event left, we're coming into it with everything we have. We have one more tournament to finish what has already been an insane season, and we're going for complete domination.
I'm so grateful for everyone who keeps making these wins possible. Blake, thank you for being so patient with me even after I screw things up. Carter and LP, thank you for being such amazing teammates and for never giving up, no matter what happens. Dakota and Kim, my twins, you guys keep showing up and making clutch plays exactly when we need them. And finally, Croque and Santi, love you guys. This team keeps pushing, learning, and finding ways to win.
