CNP Medellin 2025 - A weekend of Battles, Growth and Gratitude
Our first and only practice together for the CNP Medellin 2025 was on Friday, and it was a short one, about an hour. Since we had never played as a team before, we needed to switch codes to make communication easier and quickly figure out how we wanted to play the field. Even though we covered some key adjustments, we knew there was still work to do. Friday night, we added extra codes to improve our communication, and that decision would prove to be crucial as the event went on.
Arturo Andrade and Blake Yarber, playing alongside them was something I never imagined, and throughout the tournament, I learned valuable lessons about patience, adjustments, and how to truly elevate my game.

Saturday – A Strong Start
Our first match was against Suricatos, a team with solid players. The match started with a no-point, and in the second point, I found myself in a 1v1 against Villota, one of the best players in Colombia. It was a back-and-forth battle, I was constantly repositioning and looking for an opening. Eventually, I got the drop on him and secured the point. We went on to win the match 3-1.
By the second match, we had figured things out and played with more confidence. We faced Full Costa, and executed our game plan flawlessly, securing a dominant 4-0 win. Our first day was great, but we knew we still had to keep winning to lock in a strong playoff position.

Sunday – The Road to Finals
Sunday started with a tough match against Fusion Team from Brazil, the current Latin America Champions. Their lanes were on point, making it difficult to move up the field, but we adapted and found ways to break through. After a hard-fought battle, we secured a 4-2 victory.
Our last prelim match was against another Brazilian team, Chernobyl Brazil. This time, we controlled the game from start to finish and closed it out with a 4-0 win. With an undefeated 4-0 record, we secured the first seed going into playoffs.
The semifinals at CNP Medellin 2025 were intense, we faced Fusion again, but this time, we had already learned from our mistakes in the first match. We executed our adjustments perfectly and took a convincing 4-0 win, setting up a finals matchup against Wild Dogs, a team with some former pro players, and a current one, Harrison Frye, who plays alongside Blake and Arturo on Dynasty.

The Finals – A Battle to the End
The finals did not start in our favor. Wild Dogs took an early 2-0 lead, even though our off-the-break shooting was strong.
In the third point, Blake made an aggressive jump to the snake, and I followed. We pushed forward and managed to get on the board, making it 1-2.
The fourth point was similar, we had strong off-the-break shooting, but Wild Dogs still managed to secure another point, extending their lead to 3-1.
We knew we had to respond. In the fifth point, we made some adjustments and got another point back, making it 2-3.
Then came the decisive moment. Since it was a race to 4, this next point could end the match. We tried to build from the back, playing it carefully, but we lost our middle player, and right after that, we got a minor penalty, leaving us in a 2v4 situation.

Even though we fought to hold it down, I got shot being the last one alive, sealing our fate. Wild Dogs played incredibly well, and despite the loss, I am grateful for everything I learned from Arturo and Blake. Their support and guidance throughout the tournament helped me improve so much in just one weekend.
One of the things I loved about this event was seeing teams stepping onto the field. Valkirias, a team that is just starting out, went out there and gave their best effort. Progress takes time, and I know that one day they will look back and see how much they’ve grown. I’m proud of them for competing and taking that step.
By then end of the CNP Medellin 2025, I felt proud of our team. I also want to thank my local team, Medellín, for always supporting me and helping me improve. Their encouragement means everything, and I couldn’t do this without them.
If you’re a paintball player, I highly recommend playing a CNP event. The organization is great, and especially in Medellín, the grass is amazing and the weather is perfect, it’s one of the best places to play.
Would you ever come play a CNP event?
